Colorado Springs Climate: Heat Wednesday adopted by a windy Thursday Colorado Springs Information

Wednesday is expected to be a mildly warm day in the Pikes Peak region, the National Weather Service in Pueblo predicts.

Temperatures are expected to hit a high of 57 degrees with mostly sunny skies and winds between 10 and 15 miles per hour, the agency said.

Nighttime temperatures are projected to drop to 26 degrees, with partly cloudy skies and gusty winds that could blow dust. Wind speed could be anywhere from 15 to 30 miles per hour after midnight, with gusts of up to 45 miles per hour.

Thursday is likely to be windy with some gusts up to 35 mph, the weather service said.

“A cold front is roaring Thursday morning,” reported the Gazette’s news partner, KKTV. “There will be gusts of gusts of over 40 miles per hour and temperatures dropping throughout the day. We should only tackle the 30s and 40s with a pretty strong wind chill in the afternoon as the wind stays strong all day.”

The rest of the week will be floating in the 40s with a slight chance of snow on Saturday.
