Man arrested after confrontation with MPs | Colorado Springs Information

Residents of a Falcon neighborhood were ordered Monday evening to seek refuge on the spot while MPs dealt with a barricade suspect. The El Paso County sheriff’s office tweeted.

MPs attempted to contact a barricaded suspect on the 7600 block on Mortensen Road just before 11 p.m. Monday.

“Secure your home and stay away from doors and windows,” tweeted the sheriff’s office. “You can evacuate the area if you want, but be aware of the poor weather conditions.”

MPs also closed Mortenson, Greenough and Old Spec Streets during the stalemate.

After several hours, MPs arrested 37-year-old Charles Dowling.
