The Regina Food Bank receives more than 9,500 requests from Regina residents each month.
One way for people to support the food bank is to drop off donations at collection sites in Regina’s malls (Cornwall Centre Mall, Southland Mall, Northgate Mall and Victoria Square Mall). Those sites will be available until Dec. 12.
During the holiday season, the food bank purchases fresh items for special “Holiday Hampers” to give to Regina families in need of a nutritious holiday meal.
Another corporate sponsor, PotashCorp, is also supporting food banks across Saskatchewan. The company will match (up to $1 million) monetary donations made to food banks across Saskatchewan until Jan. 15, 2016.
