Regina officers packing SUVs with donations for Meals Financial institution

Officers in Regina are filling their cruisers with something a little different this weekend — food.

Regina Police Service and the RCMP Depot Division are teaming up for a special Pack the Cruiser fundraising initiative.

Officers will have their SUVs on site at the Sherwood Co-op grocery store on Albert Street and 25th Avenue Saturday and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. CST.

Their mission is to gather as much food as they can for the Regina Food Bank.

Police say kids who come by will be able to check out the cruisers for themselves.

The goal is to pack as many loads of food donations into their cruisers as they can. (Regina Police Service/Twitter)
