REGINA, Colorado (KRDO) – The Colorado Springs Bartenders’ Guild is stepping up and helping itself as restaurant and other hotel workers remain unemployed due to COVID-19 restrictions closing dining rooms.
The local bartenders’ guild has launched a food and supply campaign for needy hotel professionals called “Serving the Springs”.
“As an organization made up of and led by hospitality workers, we have decided that the best we can do is make sure none of us go hungry,” the group said on their news release. “We hope that by offloading some of the daily cost of living we can all save some money on other expenses that may not be negotiable.”
The Bartenders’ Guild also sells Stir Crazy T-shirts. US $ 15 per t-shirt goes to the Serving the Springs initiative.
